Reverend Marcus Pearson

Rev. Pearson was born and raised just outside of Atlanta, GA in a town called Griffin, GA. He graduated from high school and joined the Army shortly after that. Upon completion of his time in the service, became active in ministry and 2009 was licensed to preach at Springfield Baptist Church. From here he became the Adult Sunday school teacher and Young Adult Minister. In June of 2011, he was ordained as an Elder in the Lord’s church and became the Associate Pastor of Springfield Baptist Church. He has served as a lead teacher and was responsible for the Sunday school department. He now serves as the Co-leader for the Discipleship ministers of St. Paul Baptist church and as the lead teacher for the Layman’s ministry.

 

Rev. Pearson’s commitment to “A call to ministry is a call to preparation,” has led to commitment to education and training. He received his undergraduate in Religion from Luther Rice College and Seminary in 2019 and he is currently working towards his Master's in Divinity: Discipleship Ministries from Liberty University. He has aspirations of continuing this pursuit for Doctorate in Ministry upon completion of the MDiv program.

 

Rev. Pearson has one single purpose, to live a life that pleases God and see the people around him changed by the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He serves as the River of Life Boise Rescue Mission the 2nd Friday of each month to lead the men in morning devotionals and in any other capacity he can be of help.

 

Rev. Pearson is married in 2007 and has been a resident of Idaho since March of 2022. He relocated here for work.
